“I am beyond excited to share that Ant-Man is now available for viewing on Disney+ in ASL!!!!
This project is the culmination of a long journey undertaken by a dedicated group of collaborators within Marvel Studios, Walt Disney Studios, RespectAbility, and Deaf creatives.
This is yet another step by Marvel Studios & Walt Disney Studios to further demonstrate its commitment to improve access and elevate the viewing experience for deaf and hard of hearing audiences, and this is no better exemplified by how the studio approached this project.
From conception to completion, the studio envisioned this groundbreaking project as a close collaboration with Deaf creative professionals with whom they entrusted the task of guiding them in the development, direction, and vision of this initiative.
I’d also like to single out for praise the ASL Coach/Director Douglas Ridloff whose expertise was integral throughout this collaboration & ASL performer Jac Cook who knocked this out of the park. Thanks and gratitude also goes to the brilliant Alexandria Wailes for her guiding hand(s!), and stalwart ally Jo-Ann Dean of SIGNmation for their help in ensuring the success of this endeavor.”
